Our history
Over a century of history...
Pech Peyrat is much more than just an estate, it is a place steeped in history. Built in the early 19th century, its main building, the sharecroppers’ house, was used to house the farmers who worked the land for a bourgeois family from Cahors. Over time, this modest farm became a vast estate.
Over time, this modest farm became a vast estate, while retaining its old-world charm.

Preserved local architecture
The estate is a typical example of rural architecture in the Lot region. The sharecroppers’ house is built on a cellar, where animals were once housed. The upper floor was the center of family life, with its large fireplace, or cantou, and its bolet, a small covered terrace that is emblematic of the region. Today, these features have been preserved and restored to keep the soul of the place intact.

The estate today
From the outset, our vision for Pech Peyrat was clear. We wanted to create a unique place to live, perfect for family and friends to get together, but also ideal for peaceful stays surrounded by nature. We imagined warm, open spaces where children could play freely while adults relaxed in the lounge or around the pool.
We also wanted to make it an inspiring place to work for seminars or meetings, where the nature and tranquility of the estate would stimulate creativity.
Services were a key consideration for us. That’s why we have put in place services that we often found lacking during our own stays: grocery delivery, local products available, and a catering service to make life easier for our guests. We wanted to offer more than just a place to stay, but a genuine, human-scale experience where every detail is designed to allow you to fully enjoy what matters most: being together.

We look forward to welcoming you
and sharing our love of the region with you. Don’t wait any longer, come and visit us!
